Lord, help us.
Or, actually, St. Joseph of Cupertino, help us. He's the patron saint of test-takers.
Anyway, since grumbling about it never changes anything, I choose to find the humor in the situation. My go-to source for laughs is usually someecards. However, my recent discovery of the hashtag #saidnoteacherever on Twitter now satisfies my snarky, sarcastic side. You may have seen or heard of the premise: a teacher will post the opposite of what she's feeling and then end with "said no teacher ever." Great stuff, and It provides a place for frustrated, overworked, underpaid--but still dedicated--teachers to vent.
Here are the ones that literally made me LOL:
"These worksheets that came with the textbook are awesome!"
---Terie Engelbrecht @mrsebiology
"I love that my colleague heats up left over fish in the lounge."
---Josh Stumpenhorst @stumpteacher
"I'd love to create a special homework package for your son when you go to Hawaii for 2 weeks in January"
---Dean Shareski @shareski
"It is so helpful that everyone else in the community knows just how I could do my job so much better."
---Jane Caro @JaneCaro
"I have too many opportunities during the day to pee."
---Paul Bogush @ paulbogush
Hilarious, right? Need one more laugh today? Then take a look at this hilarious "Said No Teacher Ever" video on YouTube by Brandon and Russ. That is, unless, the completely helpful school filtering software blocks it...said no teacher ever.
